This Enterprise Hosting data center is SSAE 16 examined (formerly known as SAS 70 Type II certification).

The term “SSAE 16” (Statements on Standards for Attestation Engagements No. 16) is the next generation of AICPA standards for reporting on controls at service organizations (including data centers) in the United States. It defines the standards an auditory must employ in order to assess the contracted internal controls of a service organization. Service organizations, such as hosted data centers, insurance claims processors and credit processing companies, provide outsourcing services that affect the operation of the contracting enterprise. SSAE 16 goes beyond SAS 70 by requiring the auditor to obtain a written assertion from management regarding the design and operating effectiveness of the controls being reviewed.
